Ahead of the Curve

This Credit Suisse speech from earlier this year is an interesting read given what is going on in the market – “Unfortunately, in a systemic crisis, the value of CDS protection can become impaired by the default probability of the counterparties from which it is purchased. This issue can be mitigated by collateralization, but not eliminated.”
