Background GC
Nice CLR GC video on C9 which highlights the improvements in CLR4 (workstation only) – reduced GC time, and thereby reduce UI latency. Sounds like CLR 4 Server GC should run fine on 128 core machines 
Obviously Windows 7 with the removal of dispatcher-lock roadblock will be the platform to run .NET code on if you want all the performance you can get.
CLR 5 to have server Background GC? And what is Patrick Dussud working on?
