Leaving NY
I’ve felt like I’ve been in fast forwards for 48hrs while in NY. Lack of sleep on the first day allowed the audience of my first presentation to experience the full effect of brain disengagement from speech – at least Luke got a good laugh. Day one ended with a decent meal at A Voce. Day two involved train travel, meetings, and ending with another presentation (which I was 25 mins late for, sorry). With little if any time to catch up with old colleagues/clients, I think I achieved quite a lot for a whirl wind business trip and left people with a few things to ponder in the world of financial software development.
While on my travels I was curious to see that the cabs in NY had VeriFone installed – maybe this should be the next device that Matrix targets
Serious, does anyone actually use VeriFone in cabs?
JFK security needs to learn a few lessons from Heathrow in my humble view – the process and flow needs improvements. Likewise I’d forgotten the quality of building security around NY – serious attitude problems
Not impressed.
Hopefully my next trip to NY on business will be sooner rather than later as there are so many things to follow up on.
