Reading: Prism 4, Flow Trading and RIA

  • Silverlight 4 + RIA Services (Ready for Business) – RIA Services from Microsoft is a great step forwards in the quest to build applications with a Rich Internet Stack. However I’m still bias towards the streaming server architectures that currently exist in the Capital Markets world. Deutsche Bank has made great strides with there Autobahn platform, which as far as I’m aware is driven using streaming servers rather than web server REST interactions.
  • ParallelWork: Feature rich multithreaded fluent task execution library for WPF
  • Prism 4.0 Plans – Will 4.0 bring MEF and Prism together under one umbrella?
  • Flow Monsters and Electronic Trading – This joint Morgan Stanley and Oliver Wyman research report is an interesting read. Flow has become the buzz word from a Single Dealer Platform (SDP) in the last year or so.
