Could Microsoft Build a Tick Plant?

kdb and Exegy are often found in the financial space for storing ticks, however it’s not common to use Microsoft SQL Server. Given Microsoft’s Appliance Kit maybe its time Microsoft considered releasing a Tick Plant?
