OS X Lion: Time Capsule Issues
I see on the Apple Support Communities site that there is chatter around “Time Machine backup very slow in Lion”. I’ve been experiencing something similar, so last night after a degree of thought, I decided to erase everything on my Time Capsule and start a clean Time Machine backup. Only downside to this is that the initial backup on most machines is lengthy, even when performing the backup over a fast LAN – 11hrs in some cases 
Anyway, lets hope this resolves the Time Machine issues that I’ve been experiencing.
