Distributed Kanban Tools

Kanban when the whole team is in the same location requires a different tooling (wall/board etc) than a distributed multi-timezone team. After some searching, the best I’ve come up with is HipChat or similar group chat with Asana for managing the tasks. Anyone get a better tooling for distributed teams?

  1. While I have not used it as such, https://trello.com/ is a distributed list application that feels like it would be well suited to the task.

  2. We’re using sharepoint and other msft products, like onenote. Still to be determined if it will suffice or not, but at least you can share databases this way. Thanks for the post, will check those out. Cheers

  3. You can also try http://kanbantool.com – it is easy to use and has good reporting including cumulative flow and lead time analysis.

  4. How about agilezen.com or kanbanery.com? It looks like there’s also tool called TicketMaster (https://github.com/hybridgroup/ticketmaster) that enables Kanban tracking for a variety of cloud-based apps such as Unfuddle, BaseCamp, and BugZilla.
