MiFID 1 : Domestic Stock Exchanges 0

It appears that one benefits investment banks are seeing from MiFID is the ability to compete head on with the European stock exchanges.

Goldman’s appears to be going even further, and launching a Block Interest Discovery Service (Bids) in dark liquidity pools.

There’s also Equiduct – the first MiFID compliant integrated Europe wide single connection for trading services and execution.

Update: Morgan Stanley’s Dark Liquidity PoolInstinet and Credit Suisse’s exchange dark liquidiy pools.  Block Interest Discovery Service (Bids) to start in early 2007.
