London: Microsoft Surface has arrived

Lab49’s London office received it’s Microsoft Surface this week. Custom’s delayed the delivery by a few days, which was expected🙂 . I see InterKnowlogy built the XNA Blocks on Microsoft Surface with their Surface, but I not sure it’s a valid application for finance. I can see Surfaces being used within lobbies of financial institutions, but not on trading floors – for one there wouldn’t be the space. Surface in retail appears to be the main market.

Below are a few pictures snapped on a Blackberry (hence the poor quality), check out the Volatility Smile🙂 Tagging and recongnition is also show – when is a mouse a finger?🙂 One thing you notice immediately on using the Surface is the strange touch the surface has.
