FPGA Feed Handlers: Celoxica, NovaSparks and Exegy

Curious if anyone has a view of the various FPGA feed handlers available – Celoxica, NovaSparks and Exegy.  Order Book building functionality looks interesting in terms of reducing the end to end latency.  In the non equities world, the additional of FX and FI features is a plus to Celoxica.

  1. Hi MDavey, only one of those vendors can build an orderbook in the FPGA which is especially important in the by-order cash equity markets where this is typically performed in software. NovaSparks does this in the FPGA within the appliance with an average latency (from input packet to output packet) in 880 nanoseconds. With a 99.9th percentile of 1 microsecond also.
