I agree with No Fortune about television news being a very weak source of pertinent information. This blog hobby at Slow Thinkers could hardly be considered journalism either. Television is delivered to you by advertisers, including the political campaigns. Both wield significant influence over editorial content. Executive producers are mindful of controversial opinion expressed by on-air personalities. Most of the “personalities” might do a little journalism in interview situations, but they are largely news readers. Journalists are mostly engaged in research and writing. On-camera interviews for television news (the big gets) are usually highly scripted events involving a large production crew, so we should make a distinction between news reporters and journalists. https://ameo.link/perrysutton1424108180
